Serving Darien, CT · From our Bridgeport shop
CMG — Cornerstone Marble & Granite — fabricates marble, quartzite, granite, quartz, porcelain and soapstone in our Bridgeport shop, about thirty minutes up I-95 from Darien. Homeowners and designers are welcome at the slab yard to tag material in person before a single cut is made.

Darien kitchens lean classic and exact: bookmatched marble islands, quartzite counters with quiet movement, honed finishes, mitred waterfall edges and full-height slab backsplashes. We cut everything in-house, dry-fit waterfall mitres in the shop before glue-up, and carry veining around corners so the finished piece reads as one stone.
For renovations in Tokeneke, Noroton and along the Post Road, we coordinate templating around the cabinet install, and most countertop installs are done in a single day.
Choose your slabs at the yard — sequential slabs if the job needs veining to flow across island and perimeter. We digitally template once cabinets are set, fabricate in-house, and install. Template to install typically runs one to two weeks.
Trade clients: we work from architects' and kitchen designers' drawings, flag seam placement before cutting, and send layout photos for approval on bookmatched work.
Classic kitchens usually suit quiet choices: an eased or small bevel edge, a honed finish, and a stone whose veining doesn't fight the cabinetry. If you want the look of white marble without the etching, quartzites such as Taj Mahal (warm) and Mont Blanc (cool) are worth seeing in full slabs before you decide.
A good rule for edges: the busier the stone, the simpler the edge. An eased edge suits nearly every classic kitchen, while an ogee or Dupont belongs with a quieter stone. Every profile is drawn to scale on our edge profiles page.
The showroom and slab yard at 46 Beatrice St, Bridgeport is open by appointment — about thirty minutes from Darien, straight down I-95. Call 203-717-1978 or email hello@cmgstones.com.

When can I visit the yard? By appointment, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM.
