CMG — Cornerstone Marble & Granite — fabricates marble, quartzite, granite, quartz, porcelain and soapstone in our Bridgeport shop, about twenty minutes up I-95 from Westport. Homeowners and designers are welcome at the slab yard to tag material in person before a single cut is made.
Westport projects tend to ask for the real thing: bookmatched marble islands, quartzite with movement, honed finishes, mitred waterfall edges, and full-height slab backsplashes. We cut everything in-house, dry-fit waterfall mitres in the shop before glue-up, and carry veining around corners so the finished piece reads as one stone.
For renovations in Saugatuck, Compo and Greens Farms we coordinate templating around the cabinet install, and most countertop installs are done in a single day.
Choose your slabs at the yard — sequential slabs if the job needs veining to flow across island and perimeter. We digitally template once cabinets are set, fabricate in-house, and install. Template to install typically runs one to two weeks.
Trade clients: we work from architects' and kitchen designers' drawings, flag seam placement before cutting, and send layout photos for approval on bookmatched work.
