CMG — Cornerstone Marble & Granite — cuts granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, porcelain and soapstone in our Bridgeport shop, about fifteen minutes from Trumbull down Route 25 and Route 8. You pick the slab in person at the yard; we template, fabricate and install with our own crew.
A lot of Trumbull's housing — the split-levels and colonials of Long Hill, Nichols and Tashua — dates to the fifties through the eighties, and those kitchens are exactly the ones worth updating. The usual move: out with laminate or dated four-inch-backsplash granite, in with a quartz or quartzite counter, a deeper undermount sink cut at the same time, and a full-height slab or tile backsplash behind the range.
We also fabricate bath vanities, fireplace surrounds and laundry tops — and our remnant rack is the economical way to do the smaller pieces.
Visit the yard, stand in front of full slabs and choose yours. Once cabinets are in, we digitally template, cut and finish everything in-house, then install — template to install typically runs one to two weeks.
