Serving Greenwich, CT · From our Bridgeport shop
CMG — Cornerstone Marble & Granite — fabricates marble, quartzite, granite, quartz, porcelain and soapstone in our Bridgeport shop, about forty minutes up I-95 from Greenwich. Homeowners and designers are welcome at the slab yard to tag material in person before a single cut is made.

Greenwich projects rarely settle: bookmatched Calacatta islands, quartzite with real movement, honed finishes, mitred waterfall edges and full-height slab backsplashes. We cut everything in-house, dry-fit waterfall mitres in the shop before glue-up, and carry veining around corners so the finished piece reads as one stone.
For renovations in Riverside, Old Greenwich, Cos Cob and the backcountry, we coordinate templating around the cabinet install, and most countertop installs are done in a single day.
Choose your slabs at the yard — sequential slabs if the job needs veining to flow across island and perimeter. We digitally template once cabinets are set, fabricate in-house, and install. Template to install typically runs one to two weeks.
Trade clients: we work from architects' and kitchen designers' drawings, flag seam placement before cutting, and send layout photos for approval on bookmatched work.
With Calacatta or Statuario, the layout is the job. We photograph your actual slabs, place the template on the photo, and work out where the strongest veining lands and where the seams fall. You approve it before we cut. Bookmatched pairs, cut in sequence from the same block, let the pattern mirror across a seam or turn the corner of a waterfall.
Marble etches: lemon, wine and vinegar leave dull marks that sealing will not prevent. A honed finish hides etching far better than polished, which is why we usually recommend honed for a working kitchen. Our guide to living with marble countertops explains what to expect.
