Full kitchen packages

Between new construction off Bridgeport Avenue and established homes in Huntington and White Hills, Shelton work tends to be the whole kitchen at once: island, perimeter and backsplash cut from sequential slabs so the veining flows, with seams planned before the saw ever starts.

We also fabricate fireplace surrounds, bath vanities, laundry and mudroom tops, and outdoor kitchen surfaces in porcelain or granite.

Sequential slabs and seam planning

Sequential slabs are cut one after another from the same block, so the veining runs from one piece to the next. When island, perimeter and backsplash all come from a sequence, we photograph your slabs, lay the template over the photos and show you where every seam and vein will land before anything is cut. You approve the layout; then we cut.

Most kitchens need at least one seam, because slabs come in fixed sizes. The skill is where it lands: at a sink, or at a natural break in the veining, never across the middle of the island. Our guide to where countertop seams should go explains how we decide.

How it works

Choose your slab at the yard, in person. Once cabinets are set we digitally template, fabricate in our own shop, and install — template to install typically runs one to two weeks.

Builders and remodelers: we work to your schedule, template the day cabinets finish, and keep punch-list callbacks off your plate with our own install crew.

Start with the slab

Shelton countertop questions

Can the veining match across an island and a full-height backsplash? Yes, when they come from sequential slabs. We show you the layout on photos of your actual slabs before cutting.

Do you do outdoor kitchens? Yes, in porcelain or granite. We don't use quartz outside because sunlight discolors it.

When is the yard open? By appointment, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM. Template to install is typically one to two weeks.
