Calacatta Viola powder room
A floating powder room vanity cut from a single slab of Calacatta Viola, with a mitred apron front so the burgundy veining wraps the corner uninterrupted.
The least forgiving marble, laid out first.
Viola's veining runs in wide diagonal rivers, so the slab was photographed and the vanity face positioned before any cut was made — the strongest movement lands where it's seen on entry.
The apron was mitred and dressed in the shop so the joint reads as a folded edge, and the backsplash was cut from directly above the face so the veining continues vertically.
